Continuing its tradition of bringing Broadway's favorites back to life, SMTC is proud to announce their next production, the hilarious, Tony Award record-breaking Mel Brooks musical The Producers, for a special engagement. Performances will take place at the Tempe Center for the Arts (700 Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe AZ). This full production of will feature an incredible cast and a full live 20-piece orchestra, a rarity in town.

Show dates are:
· Wednesday, December 31st @ 8:30PM (SPECIAL NEW YEAR'S EVE GALA)
· Friday, January 2nd @ 7:30PM
· Saturday, January 3rd @ 2:00PM
· Sunday, January 3rd @ 7:30PM

Based on Mel Brooks' Oscar-winning film, The Producers will feature two outstanding actors who are no stranger to SMTC's audiences. Multiple award-winners Hector Coris and Matt Newhard will play Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, respectively. These two actors have created comedic fireworks in previous SMTC productions such as A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Thoroughly Modern Millie and The Music Man. The Producers will be directed and choreographed by SMTC executive producer and theatre veteran, David Hock.

SMTC is presenting a special New Year's Eve Gala performance and party on Wednesday, December 31st @ 8:30PM. The performance starts at 8:30PM with the party (until 2:00am; includes fully catered food/dessert stations; DJ; party favors; soft drinks, coffee and tea; hosted champagne service; cash bar for all other alcoholic beverages) immediately following the performance to ring in the New Year. Gala tickets (show and party) are $145/each; with couples' pricing at only $260. Performance only tickets are also available at $65 per person. Gala tickets may be purchased online or by phone.
