Prescott Fine Arts Association Announces Upcoming Class Schedule

PFAA CLASS SCHEDULE- CONTINUED LEARNING April 6 - May 25 Wednesdays

Fee: $100 (Early Bird Special: $80 by April 1) Ages 16 and up.

Inspired Scripting - In this creative approach to playwriting, novices and experts alike will develop an original one-act play using the visual arts, music, acting exercises and imaginative writing assignments to guide them. A great way to get those creative juices flowing, this class uses an inspired and supportive environment to help nurture student's ideas. The workshop will culminate in an evening of readings from student's plays. Instructor: Tiffany Antone
NOTE: Anyone under 18 wishing to register for this class is asked to call Jon for important registration information.

AFTER SCHOOL CLASSES May 9 - 19, 2011 M - TH at the Boys and Girls Club
Fee: $50 (first child) $35 for each subsequent sibling

Stories in Theatre 3:30 - 4:30

This class is intended for 3rd - 5th graders who would like to focus on their acting skills through the use of Story Telling and Story Theatre. Participants will use vocal and facial expression, movement and gestures as they create characters, settings and moods to help tell theatrical stories, working with familiar and original stories. The class will culminate with a storytelling and story theatre performance for family and friends.

From Page to Stage! 4:30 - 6:30

In this two-week workshop, students will develop, write, and act in their own short plays! Using acting games and creative exercises to better understand the playwriting process, students will create new work to perform before the audience on their final day of class. Instructor: Tiffany Antone

Class fee $25 per class $20 for Season Ticket Holders or AARP Members $15 for Friends of PFAA.

Acting and the Creative Ensemble - March 26, 2011 11 - 2

Are you an experienced actor looking for a new challenge? Are you interested in acting but are intimidated by monologues and cold readings? In this organic and physical approach to acting, experts and novices alike will create unique performances in a fun, group environment. Instructor: Tiffany Antone

Stage Combat April 30, 2011 10 - Noon

Learn the basics of Stage Combat in a safe and controllEd Manner, exploring moves such as punches, kicks, hair pulling and more. Participants will understand the basic philosophy of Stage Combat to be able to innovate their own moves. Dress in comfortable clothing in which you can move freely. You must be able to move easily, without encumbrances. Instructor: Jon Meyer
