Phoenix Theatre, 100 E. McDowell, Phoenix presents Curtains. Show Runs September 16 - October 11, 2009
Director: Michael BarnardMusic and Lyrics by: John Kander, music; Fred Ebb, lyrics (creators of Cabaret and Chicago)
The musical comedy whodunit... Curtains is the biggest, flashiest, funniest whodunit in Broadway history from the legendary composing team of Chicago and Cabaret.Curtains unfolds backstage, where a new musical could be a Broadway smash, were it not for the presence of its talent-free leading lady. When the hapless star is murdered on opening night, Lieutenant Frank Cioffi arrives on the scene to conduct an investigation. But the lure of the theatre proves irresistible for the stage-struck detective who finds himself just as drawn toward making the show a hit as he is in solving the murder.
