POWERHOUSE: THE TESLA MUSICAL Electrifies Audiences This October
The Brelby Theatre Company located in Historic Downtown Glendale, is thrilled to present the world premiere of Powerhouse: The Telsa Musical this fall!
Powerhouse: The Tesla Musical features a book and lyrics by Brian Maticic and John Perovich with music composition by CJ O'Hara.
"Tesla had this amazing vision for a future where power was made free to the masses," explains show director Shelby Maticic. "He truly believed that he could help achieve world peace by giving the gift of invention. Of sharing his knowledge."
The writing team has been working on the piece for over a year. O'Hara states "This has been an exciting and supportive process, taking the lyrics that have been written, and making them tell stories." The Wardenclyffe Tower in Long Island, NY, Tesla's last great experiment, is the focus of this work, while moving in and out of critical parts of Tesla's life. Says Perovich, "We had to familiarize ourselves with Tesla's life and determine how best to present it with a strong dramatic structure."
Powerhouse: The Tesla Musical stars Danny Hernandez (Nikola Tesla), Melody Chrispen (Hazel), William Deihl (Thomas Edison), Clayton Caufman (Westinghouse/Father), Sarah Mary (Kolman), James Beneze (Patric), Emily Wood (The Pianist), Shannon O'Brien (Duka Tesla), Brady Anderson (Mark Twain/JP Morgan), and Tyler Miller (Anthony)
BOX OFFICE: October 4-5, 12-13, 19-20, 26-27 at 7:30pm, and October 7, 14, 21 at 2:00pm. Tickets are available by visiting the official web site at http://brelby.com/.
