The Phoenix Business Journal recently honored the Valley's Best Places to Work at the Arizona Biltmore, and competing against some of Phoenix's most prestigious employers, Mark-Taylor Residential came out on top. The annual ranking is presented by the Phoenix Business Journal and facilitated by Quantum Research, a third-party research firm.

"In their first entry to the Best Places to Work ranking, Mark-Taylor shot straight to the top," said Don Henninger, publisher of the Phoenix Business Journal and emcee of the event.

Each company was graded on a scale using employee input that rated their place of business. Quantum Research compiled the statistics for the companies that participated. Mark-Taylor, which employs 365 people in the Phoenix area, ranked number one in the large business category.

Why is Mark-Taylor the best place to work? Survey results conclude in addition to traditional benefits and events, employees cited the company's commitment to training and career development, its sense of family and peer support, acknowledgements for a job well done, and its passion for community outreach.

"The best thing about this award is it comes directly from the comments of our employees," said Dale Phillips, president of Mark-Taylor Residential. "It's a testament to who we are across the board and is especially rewarding given our recent growth. Maintaining our culture is our number-one priority, and knowing our employees believe in what we are doing makes this award incredibly gratifying."

Mark-Taylor has experienced exponential growth in the past three years, nearly tripling its third-party management business. Long known as the premiere manager and developer of high end apartment communities, Mark-Taylor is consistently recognized as a leader in the apartment industry. Mark-Taylor currently manages 14,000 units in Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, and Las Vegas, and has developed 14,300 units in the last 25 years.
