FHCT Youth Theater is proud to announce the opening production of their 2010-2011 Season, "45 Minutes From Broadway." "45 Minutes from Broadway," as adapted by June Walker Rogers, features the irresistible excitement of George M. Cohan's music. "Let's do a musical!" is the cry from the members of the school's drama club. The problem is which one? This dilemma is solved by the appearance of an old theatrical trunk filled with the memorabilia of early show-business days. These include some George M. Cohan props, his derby straw hat and cane and a script of 45 Minutes from Broadway. Miss Templeton, the teacher, and Jason, the student director, guide the cast through the auditions, casting and presentation of the old Cohan musical. This is an example of a show within a show, complete with such rousing George M. Cohan numbers as "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy," "Give My Regards to Broadway," and "You're a Grand Old Flag."

"45 Minutes From Broadway" is produced by Anne Kelleher and directed by Ross Collins, with musical direction by Miciah Dodge and choreography by Noël Irick. Cast includes: Logan Barrett, Will Bates, Skye Leigh Brewster, Sammi Briggs, Devin Derr, Chris Disney, Nick Disney, Jodie Grief, Peyton Jordan, Natalie Kilker, Haylee Klein, Andrey Lull, Jessica Miller, Elysha Nemeth, Christopher Scott, Ryan Smith, Trista Smith, Austin Staten, and Shaye Stewart. The tech crew includes Elena Bornacini and Katie Male.

"45 Minutes From Broadway" will play Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM from August 27 - September 12, 2010 at the Foothills Community Theatre. Ticket prices are $15.00 for adults, and $12.00 for youth 12 and under. Group and School discounts are available.
