East Valley Children's Theatre Spring Programs

Spring Break Musical Theatre Camp

March 15-19, 2010, 8 am to 4 pm

The camp will focus on musical theatre skills in dancing, singing and acting, with a presentation to the parents the final day of camp. Camp is open to youth age 8-15.

Spring Session of Classes -Beginning March 29th - May 4th, 2010

Mondays beginning March 29th through May 3rd, 2010

Class 19- Drama 102 (Monday 5:30-6:30 pm) Basic acting skills for kids age 8-12 who have taken Drama 101or have some basics on stage. Instructor, Gingi Cullipher

Class 20 - Musical Theatre Skills II (Monday 6:30-7:30 pm) Musical theatre basics for kids age 8-14. Instructor, Ariana Ziskin

Tuesdays beginning March 30th through May 4th, 2010

Class 21 - Acting Skills II (Tuesday 4:30-5:30 pm)- Acting skills for kids with some experience ages 10-15, Instructor, Nicole Gibson Rice

Class 22 -Theatre Games & Improv II (Tuesday 5:30-6:30 pm) - Acting skills through improvisation for kids age 10-15, Instructor, Nicole Gibson Rice

Class 23 - Creative Drama! (Tuesday 4:30-5:30pm) A basic acting class for kids age 5-8, exploring what it is like to be on stage and perform. Instructor, Gingi Cullipher

Cost for one class for the six weeks is $60, Two classes is $110.

Saturday April 10 - Collaboration workshop and Audition
9:00 am until 12:00 noon - For any former EVCT Participant (If you have been in a show, camp, class, troupe, and are age 7-12, you are eligible to come to the workshop.)

EVCT will be providing the children's chorus for a couple of weeks at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre and their production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Details on our website at www.evct.org.

Saturday April 17 - Beauty and the Beast Audition Workshop
9:00 am until 12 noon - Cost $25
Learn the ins and outs of EVCT's audition process while singing songs from the show and reading from the script. Tips and techniques for auditioning in preparation for EVCT's auditions of their summer show Beauty and the Beast.
