D.L. Parsons Theatre Receives National Youth Arts Awards; Ceremony Set for 9/25
The D.L. Parsons Theatre has announced that National Youth Arts (NYA) has honored the theatre's resident youth theatre company-the nationally acclaimed and award-winning Northglenn Youth Theatre (NYT)- with numerous awards and nominations for the 2012/2013 season.
NYA awards honor outstanding work by youth in the arts. This year more than 300 productions were considered for the awards, including shows from more than 100 different theatres in more than 50 cities spanning 10 states.NYT 's recognition includes:

Lead Actor in a Musical: Isaac Sprague as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Lead Actress (Junior Division): Maya Claridge as Alice in Alice in Wonderland

Supporting Actor (Junior Division): Pete Cabrera as Tweedle-Dum in Alice in Wonderland
Supporting Actor (Junior Division): Terren Coffey as Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Midterm
Supporting Actress (Junior Division): Kate Shoulders as Tweedle-Dee in Alice in Wonderland
Featured Actor in a Musical: Alex Milinazzo as Mock Turtle in Alice in Wonderland
Costume Design: Caitlin Ayer for Alice in Wonderland
Direction: Kimberly Jongejan for Alice in Wonderland
The awards will be presented at a ceremony in the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix, AZ on Wednesday, September 25, 2013.
