The International British Academy (IBA) is staging Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's second British musical collaboration JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT at the Insular Life Corporate Centre Auditorium in Alabang, Muntinlupa, South of Manila on February 4 and 5, 2010.  IBA headmaster Bryan Riddin directs the production featuring a large cast of 80.

The musical follows the journey of Joseph from the Bible's book of Genesis.  Joseph's inspiring story is told through a series of pop ballads and catchy songs sung by a female narrator and the play's major characters.  The show was first performed in 1968 as a 15-minute pop cantata, which eventually premiered and revived several times on Broadway and in the West End.  To date, nearly 20,000 schools and amateur theatre organizations all over the world have staged successful productions of the musical.  Popular song numbers from the show include "Any Dream Will Do," "One More Angel in Heaven." "Benjamin Calypso," and the "Joseph Megamix."

Local cast members primarily come from both the primary and secondary schools of the IBA in Imus, Cavite (also located South of Manila).  The Academy prides itself in not only providing students with solid British educational traditions but also exposing young learners to a wide variety of cultural experiences.

Tickets to JOSEPH are sold at P500, P400 and P300 for the February 4 show while tickets are sold at P700, P600 and P500 for the February 5 show, which has pre-show cocktails.  For ticket reservations, contact (63) 46-4715922, (63) 46-4715924 and (63) 917-8587138.
