Tribe of Fools Presents Their Holiday Burlesque- The Return of Dirty Santa!

By:

Tribe of Fools is bringing back their popular Holiday Burlesque with this year's installment The Return of Dirty Santa. Tribe's new holiday tradition provides a holiday themed show for adults. Artistic Director Terry Brennan came up with the idea because "the majority of the holiday season is so geared towards kids that sometimes adults feel overwhelmed and left out. We wanted to provide one night of holiday fun that's just for adults."

The evening will be hosted by Dirty Santa, played by Peter Smith. Smith also appeared as Vinnie in Tribe of Fools' recent runaway Philly Fringe hit Heavy Metal Dance Fag. The title The Return of Dirty Santa was chosen due to the popularity of Smith's Santa character at last year's Bareknuckle Burlesque. Santa will act as the emcee over a roster of Tribe of Fools favorites including MeghAnn Williams and Bryan Clark as Santa's raunchy helpers, Nasty Frosty and Horny Rudolph, as well as performances by Leslie Berkowitz, Irina and Mikhail Jaquinof, Miranda Libkin, Lil' Joey Kangaroo, Miss Calico Punk and a special guest appearance by Timmy Bagley, the main character of Heavy Metal Dance Fag. The Return of Dirty Santa will be a combination of songs, dance, comedy and of course, a little bit of skin. In addition to all the acts there will be a raffle, a dirty Mad Libs contest and the chance to get a department store style picture taken with Dirty Santa and friends. The focus of the evening will be a comic take on the holidays in a way that you can enjoy with your friends, but not with your kids.

All proceeds from The Return of Dirty Santa will go to fund Tribe of Fools' next Philly Fringe production, Goat Song.

About Tribe of Fools?Tribe of Fools is a fledgling physical theatre company formed at The Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre and has been creating original work in Philadelphia since 2003. The company began in Germantown in 2003 and moved to South Philly in 2004.
