This one night only cabaret will be held on Friday August 19th at the Gershman Y in Center City, Philadelphia. It will feature Aaron Catano, Shannon Remley, Sarah Spangenberg and Matthew Dean Stewart who make up the cast of the upcoming Philadelphia premiere of "The Immigrant: A New American Musical." The evening will include guest artists such as Philadelphia's Marina Marx, Ryan Thomas Streit, Kat Borelli, and New York City actor and cabaret singer Larry Hamilton.

This will be the premier cabaret for the new theater collective and will be directed by Jarrod Markman and music directed by Eric Ebbenga.

All proceeds from this event will support The Immigrant: A New American Musical with a book by Mark Harelik and music and lyrics by Steven Alper and Sarah Knapp being produced during the Philadelphia Fringe Festival this September.

The ComPassion Collective is a group of Philadelphia based artists who are dedicated to producing live theater that explores social, religious and cultural issues through staging works that engage the community. We create theater that invites awareness. Theater that-through conflict, action, and narrative establishes connections among cultural differences, misunderstandings, and prejudices. We believe that through meaningful stories, greater appreciation, and better communication the community will become more compassionate.
