Pittsburgh CLO to Hold Open Auditions For 'Love' and 'Gong Show'

Pittsburgh CLO to Hold Auditions For I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and the Return of the Gong Show.

They are looking for two male (baritone and baritone/tenor) and two female singer/actors (alto and mezzo soprano) ages 20 to 40. Both Equity and Non-Equity performers are eligible.

What:  Auditions for Pittsburgh CLO's production of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change

When:  10 a.m. to 6 p.m. By appointment Sunday, August 17, 2008. Callbacks will be held Monday, August 18

Where:  Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater

Performances held at CLO Cabaret Theater
 
Requirements:           All performers must:

·        Bring a headshot and typed resume

·        Turn in a completed audition application

·        Bring sheet music with cuts marked (accompanist provided)

·        Prepare a one minute comedic monologue

·        Perform two contrasting songs (ballad and up-tempo)

·        Be available from Sept. 29, 2008, through Feb. 1, 2009

·        Provide their own housing and transportation

 
In this fast-paced musical comedy revue, all actors play multiple roles.  Performers must have excellent comic delivery and flexible, dynamic characterization skills, and must sing and move well.  Performers of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition.

Who: Comedians, singers, actors, magicians, puppeteers, variety acts, ventriloquists, stupid human tricks and any other worthy talent

What:  Auditions for Pittsburgh CLO Cabaret's The Gong Show

When:  Auditions by appointment only

Where: Performance held at 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 15 at Cabaret Theater

Requirements:           All performers must:

·        Bring with them anything necessary to perform their act

·        Be available August 15 at 10:30 p.m. for the show

·        Keep acts PG-13

·        Perform act without nudity, swearing or live animals
