Pittsburgh CLO Holding Auditions for Mini-Stars

Pittsburgh CLO is holding auditions for Academy Scholarships and the 2008-09 CLO Mini Stars.

 
On Monday, August 18, 2008 at 5:00 pm. At Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Academy Scholarships

·         Must be ages 10-18

·         Must enroll in the CLO Academy's Pre-Professional Program

·         Must demonstrate talent and potential ability in acting, dancing or singing

Affiliated with one of the most respected musical theater organizations in the country, the CLO Academy offers professional quality courses designed to fit the needs of individual students. Three diverse programs - the Children School, the Student School and the Pre-Professional School allow students to find the program that is right for them.   

Mini Stars

·         Must be ages 12-16

·         Must possess exceptional skills in acting, dancing and singing

·         Must commit to all mandatory rehearsals and  performances throughout the year

For more than 25 years, the Mini Stars have represented the Pittsburgh CLO as the region's leading young performance company. This talented group of professional artists performs live musical theater entertainment for public events, corporate functions and private parties. Students may audition for both the Mini Stars and Scholarship Program.

Audition

Requirements:   Students auditioning for either a Scholarship or the Mini Stars must submit the required application form and written essay by August 18, 2008.  No late applicants will be accepted or considered.
 
Students must present a three-minute presentation highlighting their performance skills.  The three-minute audition material may consist of one, two or all three of the following disciplines:  Song, Monologue and/or Dance.
