Out of Box Theatre's annual adults-only holiday sketch show Santa After Hours returns for its eighth season. This year they bring you Holiday Party Crashers, and it promises to be their best show yet. Out of Box Artistic Director Carolyn Choe says, "Of course we say that every year, but you know, we cross our fingers and hope for the best." Each season, Santa After Hours is a completely new show written by a bunch of local playwrights/actors who are certainly on the naughty list and are collectively known as "The Usual Gang of Idiots."

For 2017, the misfits that populate the cast are seeping into theatre prime time by starting at 9:00 pm rather than in past years when the show usually followed a more traditional family-friendly holiday show. This year, Santa After Hours stands out all by itself. As the show's host and annual guide to all things inappropriate, Bob Smith, explains, "We recognized that when people think of "Out of Box" at Christmas, they've come to expect the kind of present they don't want to open in front of family or polite company. Or even with the lights on. Or if cops are nearby. So instead of mixing messages with two different shows, we say pack Aunt Sally and the kids off to see one of the dozen versions of 'A Christmas Carol,' and indulge your grown-up naughty side."

Santa After Hours 2017: Holiday Party Crashers runs December 1-16,Fridays and Saturdays at 9 PM. Out of Box Theatre is located in the Artisan Resource Center at 585 Cobb Pkwy S, Marietta, 30060. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at www.outofboxtheatre.com or by calling 678-653-4605.
