The Philadelphia Dramatists Center Residency at Plays & Players presents the Philadelphia Playwright Showcase from April 25-28 at 7:00pm. The 2012 playwrights include Jeff Stanley, Jeremy Gable, and Brian Grace-Duff.

The results of creativity and experimentation will be on display in the Philadelphia Playwright Showcase - as the Philadelphia Dramatists Center Playwrights-in-Residence show off their journey of artistic growth and nourishment to the public for the first time.

The PDC Playwright Residency at Plays & Players aims to provide artistic development for Philadelphia's next generation of professional playwrights. The residency supports chosen local writers who represent the highest potential for further growth and exploration. The founders and producers of the PDC Residency at Plays & Players are Daniel Student, Plays & Players Executive Committee member and Artistic Director, and Wally Zialcita, former PDC Executive Director and local playwright. To select the playwrights, Student and Zialcita, along with Amy Freeman (local freelance Dramaturg), served on a panel that reviewed 27 writing samples and statements of purpose.

Tickets for the event are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and can be purchased here.
