OrangeMite Studios Produces HEAVY LIES THE CROWN 7/30-8/8

OrangeMite Studios is a non-profit organization arts organization based out of Dover, PA. It is dedicated to engaging surrounding communities in the performing arts and showcasing the incredible local talent.

It is unique in the fact that it is the only organization of its kind in the Dover, PA area. Leading the way in the arts, this young organization has already produced two original musicals and two Shakespeare plays, as well as various community recitals and a Broadway Revue. Now, it is time for OrangeMite Studios' next success. It is working to put on another original musical, written by Jesse Rupp and William Wolfgang, two Dover natives, entitled Heavy Lies the Crown. This is a powerfully beautiful and humorous story about what happens when a plane full of Americans crash in a Guatemalan jungle, and are forced to interact with a ruthless Aztec culture. With its breathtaking love ballads, intense tribal percussion, and incredible Aztec inspired costumes, this is sure to be OrangeMite's most epic production yet.

This extraordinary musical is being performed by over thirty local actors and over twenty musicians playing in a live pit orchestra. Performances will be on July 30 & 31, August 1, 6, 7 & 8 at Dover Area High School. Friday and Saturday performances will be at 7:30 pm and Sunday performances will be at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students/senior citizens and will be available at the door.
