Music Theatre Philly Presents A HAMILTON Summer Camp

Get ready to be "in the room where it happens." Music Theatre Philly, a professional training ground for artists of all ages run by real Broadway vets, is offering a Hamilton Camp this August 27-31, 2018. The hip-hop infused class for ages 8+ will take place right in Center City Philadelphia at the Music Theatre Philly studios (262 South 12th Street, Philadelphia).

Called 'the most exciting and significant musical of the decade' by the New York Times, HAMILTON is packed with high energy choreography, hip-hop and contemporary infused music, and a story that outlines our Nation's history. The camp is designed for beginners, as well as those with more experience. In addition to honing talent, the session also aims to help personalities blossom and will grow confidence onstage and off.

Each session begins with a full warm-up of body and voice to ensure campers are ready to face the day ahead. Then, campers will get a full triple-threat treatment, including lessons in singing, dancing, and acting. They'll also have the opportunity to design and craft HAMILTON-themed costumes and set pieces for a final showcase.

The camp runs Monday through Friday, 9AM to 3PM. Tuition is $375.

In addition to HAMILTON, Music Theatre Philly is also offering a variety of other musical theater camps, perfect for the aspiring Broadway star: ANNIE (June 11-15); Dr. Seuss READ AND SING ALONG (June 18-22); THE GREATEST SHOWMAN (June 18-22); SING (June 25-29); THE LION KING (August 13-17); MATILDA (August 20-24); and THE SOUND OF MUSIC (August 27-31).
