The Media Theatre's production of "Alice In Wonderland" is being extended through Saturday, March 2.

The fun, fast-paced production finds Alice faced with lots of strange yet delightful characters as she follows a White Rabbit (Michael Wells) into his land of nonsense where nothing is what it seems. The show features several adults as well as students of The Media Theatre's New School, a conservatory-style music theatre education program, as well as from its acting classes. The cast of forty ranges in age from very young (four year old Sebastian Fitzgerald of Media) to professional adults (Kristen Arbutina, Doug Cashell, Shiron Denise, and Tim Haney).

Based on Lewis Carroll's famous story of the young girl who finds herself dealing with a talking caterpillar (Marie Sminkey) and a smiling cat (Sadat Waddy), "Alice In Wonderland" at The Media Theatre features audience interaction at The Mad Tea Party when The Mad Hatter (Gianni Palmarini) sings his "Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat". A crazy croquet game gives an opportunity for audience volunteers to join in the fun. This is a new version of the story, seen only at The Media Theatre and featuring music written by Tricia Kiehner.

The Media Theatre's production has performances on Saturdays at 11am, now through March 2. There is one Sunday afternoon show on February 10 at 1pm. The 70 minute musical focuses on humor throughout, including when The Queen of Hearts meets Alice during the Court sequence. "Alice In Wonderland" is good for ages 4 and up.

Erika Roberts of Rose Valley portrays Alice. A student of The New School, she has been seen previously in "Rapunzel", "Rent: School Edition", "Jungle Book" and "Jesus Christ Superstar" at The Media Theatre. Marie Sminkey portrays two roles in the show, The Caterpillar and The Duchess. She was seen several times at The Media Theatre in "Velveteen Rabbit Christmas", "Jack Frost" and "Jungle Book".
