McCarter Theatre to Host Community-Wide Block Party, 8/21

McCarter Theatre will kick off its 2013-2014 season with its 3rd annual community-wide Block Party on McCarter's front lawn on Wednesday, August 21 from 5pm to 8pm. (Rain date: August 22). All are welcome!

The free, fun-filled night of entertainment and community bonding will feature live music of the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra, consisting of the finest high school and college jazz musicians in the Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey regions. Other highlights include the opportunity to win fabulous prizes, on-stage tours, and enjoy food and drinks that can be purchased from favorite local eateries including 4 Daughters Franks, Bitter Bob's BBQ + Comfort Food, Chez Alice Catering, D'Angelo Italian Market, elements, Gil & Bert's Ice Cream, Maddalena's Cheesecake & Catering, Mediterra, Mistral, Nomad Pizza, Terra Teatro, and more. Bring the kids for spin art, a scavenger hunt, spin art, activities from JaZams, Princeton's locally owned and operated independent toy store. This family-friendly party is sure to kick off McCarter's 2013-2014 season in style!
