MY MOTHER’S ITALIAN, MY FATHER’S JEWISH & I'M IN THERAPY! Comes To Philly

The international hit comedy, MY MOTHER'S ITALIAN, MY FATHER'S JEWISH & I'M IN THERAPY! featuring Ron Tobin, will make its Philadelphia premiere at the Society Hill Playhouse for a 12-week engagement beginning Sept. 22 - Dec. 12. The official press opening will be Sat. Sept. 25 at 8:00 pm.

PA. Performances include: Wednesdays at 2 pm & 7 pm; Thursdays at 7 pm; Fridays at 8 pm; Saturdays at 2 pm & 8 pm; Sundays at 2 pm. *Special Open-Captioned Performance on Nov. 6 at 2 pm for hearing-impaired theater patrons.

Written by award-winning author Steve Solomon, the hilarious one-man comedy is based on Solomon's life growing up in a wacky family noted for its bi-ethnic diversity and aptitude for  people in his life whose sole purpose was to drive him into therapy! The author, whose mother is from Palermo and whose father is from Russia, grew up as one of seven siblings in Brooklyn, NY.

The show stars actor & comedian Ron Tobin, who has hosted cable TV's Late Night ‘Laffs' with Ron Tobin, Comedy on the Bay, and Showtime Comedy Club Network.

Described as ‘One part lasagna, one part kreplach and two parts Prozac,' you don't have to be Jewish or Italian to love this show. MY MOTHER'S ITALIAN, MY FATHER'S JEWISH & I'M IN THERAPY! played for two years in New York City and has toured internationally in over 100 cities.

The production was awarded ‘Favorite New Play' by Broadway.com and won the ‘Broadway Theater Fans Choice Award' on BroadwayWorld.com.
