One of the world's most influential thinkers, Karl Marx, turns 200 on May 5, 2018. To celebrate this occasion, Iron Age Theatre's production of Howard Zinn's MARX IN SOHO, featuring Bob Weick as Marx, begins a tour of the US and Europe at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.

Marx in Soho by Howard Zinn opens September 6th and runs through September 22nd at the The Philadelphia Ethical Society in Center City at 1214 Sansom St, Philadelphia. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from the Fringe box office. The play runs 70 minutes and is a perfect evening starter for the Fringe. For information visit the www.ironagetheatre.org.

Marx in Soho challenges audiences to rethink their stance on politics, economy and the human condition through the story of Marx's life and writings. The play brings to life many of Marx's friends and foes and allows Marx to comment on the contemporary political scene in the shadow of Marx's larger theories. Funny, rageful, loving and guilty, Howard Zinn's Marx is a well rounded family man not an ideolog.

Bob Weick plays Karl Marx in this nationally touring production. Bob began the production in 2004 at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and has done the play across the country for more that 350 performances. He has worked with Howard Zinn performing in LA and Boston in tandem with Talkback from Weick and Zinn. Bob Weick is a two time Barrymore nominee for best ensemble for Terra Nova and Circle Mirror Transformation.
