Goodspeed Musicals Tickets Go On Sale 2/19: MAME, CAROUSEL and SOMETHING'S AFOOT!

The Box Office will open at 10 a.m. this Sunday for three musicals: Mame; Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel; and Something's Afoot, a musical whodunit. Be among the first to purchase tickets for all three shows at Goodspeed Musicals, the first regional theatre in the nation to receive two Tony Awards.

From the director that brought you My One And Only, Singin' in the Rain and 42nd Street, this year's season opener, Mame, features music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, a book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee and is based on the novel Auntie Mame by PatRick Dennis and the play by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee.  Mame will be directed by Ray Roderick and choreographed by Vince Pesce (Associate Choreographer of Broadway's Anything GoesThe Pajama Game,Wonderful Town and Little Shop of Horrors). Mame will be sponsored by Liberty Bank, Mohegan Sun and The Shops at Mohegan Sun.

Carousel has captivated audiences around the world with the powerful love story of an innocent young millworker and swaggering carousel barker. He meets a tragic end but is given one chance for redemption by delivering hope to the daughter he never knew and whispering words left unspoken to his wife. Featuring "If I Loved You," "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "Juneis Busting Out All Over." Experience one of the most celebrated musicals of all time!

Carousel features music by Richard Rodgers and a book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Based on Ferenc Molnar's play Lilliom and adapted by Benjamin F. Glazer. Original Dances by Agnes De Mille. It will be directed by Rob Ruggiero (Goodspeed's Show BoatCamelotAnnie Get Your Gun and 1776) and choreographed by Parker Esse (Associate Choreographer of Broadway's Finian's Rainbow and A Tale of Two Cities). Carousel will be sponsored by Amica Insurance, Comcast and Robinson & Cole LLC.

An old English mansion. A raging thunderstorm. Ten strangers. Murder, mystery, music and comedy abound when the guests disappear one by one – knocked off by cleverly fiendish devices.

Join the fun as Miss Tweed the amateur sleuth sets out to solve the crimes…but the butler didn't do it! With songs like "I Owe It All To Agatha Christie," it's a zany whodunit for all to enjoy.

Something's Afoot features book, music and lyrics by James McDonaldDavid Vos and Robert Gerlach with additional music by Ed LindermanCasey Hushion (Associate Director of Broadway's ElfIn the Heights and The Drowsy Chaperone) will direct. A choreographer will be announced soon. Something's Afoot will be sponsored by Connecticut Light & Power.

Mame will run April 20 – July 1; Carousel will run from July 13 – September 23; and Something's Afoot, will run from October 5 – December 9.  Curtain times are Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Thursday at 7:30 p.m. (select performances at 2:00 p.m.), Friday at 8:00 p.m., Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. (select performances at 6:30 p.m.).
