CSz Philadelphia, the Home of ComedySportz presents DR. YOUNG UNPACKS, a playful, high energy, informative talk show that dives deep into the psychology of media, politics, and popular culture, featuring award-winning Professor Danna Young - Associate Professor at the University of Delaware and performer with ComedySportz Philadelphia for over 18 years.

Think of this show like John Oliver and Ellen having a baby that grew up to give a TED Talk.

"We live in complicated times. People want to understand what's going on around them, without getting overwhelmed or freaked out." says Dr. Young, "I'm an optimist. I believe that once you unpack a topic and help people understand how things work and why, they can start making the world better. "

Dr. Young's work has been published in The Atlantic, The New York Times, the Columbia Journalism Review and The Philadelphia Inquirer. She is the author of over 2 dozen peer-reviewed research articles and 20 book chapters.

Each week, Dr. Young unpacks a new topic, such as "Arab Spring, Isis, Nazis, & #MeToo: How Digital Technologies Help Redistribute Power" (Feb 16th) OR "How Media Construct The World (AKA: Why Do I Think I'm Gonna Get Mugged When I Leave My House?)" (Feb 23rd).

Each one-hour show features an expert guest from academia and media talking about their own research on media and politics.

Tickets for DR. YOUNG UNPACKS are $15 (or $10 with a valid student ID) and can be purchased online at csztix.com or by calling 484-450-8089. The show is designed for audiences ages 15 and up.
