Community Day Brings Free Museum Admissions, 3/31

As a special thank you to the friends that support Historic Bethlehem Partnership's mission, museums will be open with free admission on Saturday, March 31 from 11am to 5pm.

Open Museums & Sites:

• Moravian Museum of Bethlehem at 66 W. Church Street – Tour the oldest building in Bethlehem and learn how to fold a paper Moravian star. Children can dress-up in Civil War attire. 
• Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts at 427 New Street – Meet and greet with Historic Bethlehem Partnership's President Charlene Donches Mowers, and hear first-hand about the addition of a resource collection center. Sketches will be available to view.
• 1810 Goundie House at 505 Main Street – Discover the danger behind early medicine in the continuing exhibit "Kill or Cure." Exhibit is only open for one more month.
• 1750 Smithy on Main Street – Chat with our friendly blacksmiths as they make sparks fly over the fire, crafting hooks and nails. Don't miss the gift shop on the second floor.
• Waterworks in the Colonial Industrial Quarter – Celebrating 250 years! Watch in awe as the wheel turns, pumping water in one of Bethlehem's National Historic Landmarks. Enjoy this architectural wonder while children play colonial games outside. Great place to enjoy a picnic lunch!
• Burnside Plantation at 1461 Schoenersville Road – Bask in the sun at The Farm in the City! Explore the colonial house, garden, and barns, while food is prepared in the summer kitchen and horses gallop on the lawn.

Start your visit at the Historic Bethlehem Visitor Center at 505 Main Street and leave with a map, more information about Community Day events, and Bethlehem mementos.

Historic Bethlehem Partnership hosts Community Day to thank the public for its support year-round and invite locals to visit the buildings and hear the stories that define their city.
