When a long-lost husband and father returns home to find his wife about to remarry, hilarity ensues in a staged reading of Marvin Harold Cheiten's 2006 comedy, Miss Connections.

The Princeton playwright's work, which previously debuted on the Princeton University campus, will be presented by the Actors' NET of Bucks County on Friday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. at the Heritage Center in Morrisville.

Miss Connections takes place in the living room of Lily Brown's enormous home in the modern day West End of Princeton. Lily Brown's husband, Tom, disappeared one day - abandoning her and their daughter Thalia. Years later, after finding himself by doing good works in the Sudan, Tom returns home to learn his wife is about to remarry.

He soon reconciles with his estranged daughter and the two of them conspire to thwart
the wedding plans.

James Cordingley of Lawrence Township, NJ directs the staged reading, which stars James Banar of Newtown; Virginia Barrie of Ewing, NJ; Georgia Gove of West Trenton, NJ; Janet Quartarone of Femington, NJ; and Mark Violi of Hamilton, NJ.

"Actors' NET is pleased to present Mr. Cheiten's engaging comedy as the first in this season's series of new play readings," Artistic Director Cheryl Doyle said. "His characters brim with life - the husband who returns to find his wife entangled with another man, who actually may be a confidence man after her money; the conflicted wife; their cellphone-in-hand teenaged daughter; the flim-flam boyfriend and a zany neighbor who spouts some of the world's worst poetry - and the result promises to be an evening of laughs."

Following the staged reading, a talk back session will be held between the cast and interested audience members.

Miss Connections will be presented one night only -- Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. at the Heritage Center, 635 N. Delmorr Avenue (Route 32), near the Calhoun Street Bridge.
