Acting Naturally to Present CRIMES OF THE HEART This February

Acting Naturally presents..."Crimes of the Heart" in Bucks County, Pa.

Crimes of The Heart opens Friday, February 10th at 8:00pm for six special performances. The play is the story of three sisters who come together after encountering a series of heartbreaks, this comedy takes place at the McGrath home in southern Mississippi in 1974.

Written by American Playwright Beth Henley, this tragicomedy won the Pulitzer in 1981. The characters are outspoken, touching and consistently hilarious! Lenny played by Sallyanne Donovan of Buckingham, PA the oldest Magrath sisters, takes care of the their unseen Granddaddy alone in their childhood home in small-town Mississippi; Meg played by Martha Stringer of Yardley, PA the middle sister, who left broken hearts in her wake to jet off to Hollywood for a singing career; and Babe played by Charlotte Kirkby of Ewing, N.J. the youngest, who kicks off the drama by committing the one actual "crime" of the title. Allison Deratzian of North Wales, PA plays Chick their annoying cousin, Tom Smith of Morrisville, Pa. plays Barnette the young attorney and Jim Wirsz of Philadelphia, Pa plays Doc an old love interest of Megs. Virginia Barrie of Ewing N.J. directs this play about three Southern sisters loving, feuding and fretting through a very bad day.

Crimes of The Heart is presented by Acting Naturally. Shows are 2/10 (Friday) at 8:00pm, 2/11 (Saturday) at 8:00pm, 2/12 (Sunday) at 2:00pm 2/17 (Friday) at 8:00pm 2/18 (Saturday) at 8:00pm, 2/19 (Sunday) at 2:00pm.
