ANNIE JR Plays The Centre Theater, Opens 8/6

The Student Musical Theatre production of ANNIE jr opens Saturday Aug 6.

Annie is the heartwarming story of a young girl's journey from rags to riches based on the comic strip Little Orphan Annie. The story is full of sing along music like "Tomorrow'" "It's a Hard Knock Life" and "Maybe" Annie Jr. is musical romp into the depression but in the world of the musical sadness and hardships are always conquered by hope and love. Join Annie and her dog Sandy as then take on Miss Hannigan, Daddy Warbucks and even President Roosevelt!

AUGUST 14 @ 2 PM.

The production is staged by the acclaimed Student Musical Theatre Workshop. Young people from 5-17 perform these classics of the American stage under the guidance of regional theater professionals. The kids get a glimpse of the professional world of theater as they are educated in the crafts and just have a plain old good time!

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for all under 15 years old.

The Centre Theater is in the Montgomery County Cultural Center at 208 DeKalb Street in Norristown. It is easily reached via routes 202, I-76, I-476 and Ridge Pike. There is plenty of free parking and the theater is one block from Septa's Norristown Transit Center on the Manayunk/Norristown line.
