She's coming back, and she'll never go away again! The upcoming revival of Michael Stewart and Jerry Herman's masterpiece Hello, Dolly!, starring legendary performer Bette Midler, has quickly become the hottest ticket of the year. Directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks and choreographed by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle, Hello, Dolly! will begin performances at Broadway's Shubert Theatre on March 15, 2017, with an official opening night of April 20, 2017. BroadwayWorld spoke with Kate Baldwin (Irene) last night at the opening of Sunset Boulevard, where she told us all about rehearsals so far!

It's been 77 years since Judy Garland made Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg's 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' forever famous. Just last night, her daughter, Lorna Luft, brought the beloved song back to life (something she has never done before now) at Feinstein's/54 Below, in a moving tribute to Stonewall, Orlando, and of course, her late mother. The album, featuring Yip Harburg-Burton Lane's score, is being produced by Tommy Kasker of PS Classics. The CD's official release date is February 2, 2010 but pre-orders are being accepted now on the show's official web site for shipping in late January.

Finian's Rainbow has a book by Yip Harburg and Fred Saidy; lyrics by Yip Harburg; music by Burton Lane; with book adaptation by Arthur Perlmanand original adaptation for New York City Center Encores! by David Ives. It is directed and choreographed byWarren Carlyle; musical direction is by Rob Berman.

Finian's Rainbow began previews at Broadway's St. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street, on Thursday, October 8 at 8pm, and celebrated Opening Night, on Thursday, October 29 at 6:45pm.
