He brought us a Tony-winning rap musical, IN THE HEIGHTS. He showed us another side of the founding fathers and landed Broadway squarely in the popular spotlight with HAMILTON. He's just an Oscar away from an EGOT. And he's 36 today.

This week some of heater's best gathered together to celebrate the 31st Powerhouse Theater season. From Hedwig and the Angry Inch composer Stephen Trask to Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening), the event involved a Meet-n-Greet with theater professionals from around the theater community.

New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, this summer celebrating the 30th year of their Powerhouse Theater collaboration, will soon present their upcoming Powerhouse Theater Season, running from June 20 to July 27 atVassar College (Poughkeepsie, New York). Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda's latest project is The Hamilton Mixtape, which recently concluded its run at Vassar College's Powerhouse Theater. The Hamilton Mixtape is a hip-hop song cycle about the life and death of Alexander Hamilton and showcases a fusion of Miranda's signature Latin, hip-hop and classic Broadway styles.
