HAMILTON takes its first Broadway bow!

Because the new hit production of HAMILTON is now the new neighbor of Broadway's Les Mis, the French revolutionaries wanted to welcome America's Founding Fathers to the 'hood'.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's latest musical, Hamilton has recently moved into the Richard Rodgers theatre in anticipation of previews, which begin tomorrow, July 13. With opening fast approaching, the team sent Susan Blackwell to see how well some of Broadway's best knew their Hamilton History. The world premiere production of Hamilton, inspired by the book 'Alexander Hamilton' by Ron Chernow, with book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and directed by Thomas Kail, will start performances on Broadway on July 13 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Earlier this month, Broadway's best gathered at the Marriott Marquis to celebrate the 81st Annual Drama League Awards. The American Theatre Wing and the Village Voice just presented the winners of the 60th Annual OBIE Awards. The Public Theater's Hamilton by Lin-Manuel Miranda (including special citations for Andy Blankenbuehler, Thomas Kail, and Alex Lacamoire) received the OBIE Award for Best New American Theatre Work, which is accompanied by a $1,000 check. The Signature Theatre's Founding Artistic Director James Houghton received the OBIE Award for Sustained Achievement.
