The 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights welcomed platinum recording artist and 2007 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks on Thursday, August 19th, making her Broadway debut as Nina Rosario at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). Sparks will play a limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, November 14, 2010. Jordin Sparks will perform 'Breathe' from In The Heights on Thursday, August 19th on 'Live! With Regis & Kelly.'

Chris Jackson, who recently left the company of In the Heights after playing leading man Benny since 2002, was presented by his castmates with a truly inspirational tribute video. Receivng the help of Rascal Media, which also made IN THE HEIGHTS:CHASING BROADWAY DREAMS, Chris left the cast with this touching sendoff.

IN THE HEIGHTS, winner of four 2008 Tony Awards® and the 2008 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Show Album, plays the Civic Theatre in San Diego through August 1, 2010; as a Broadway/San Diego ~ A Nederlander Presentation.

The cast of the hit Broadway musical MEMPHIS performed the number 'Someday' live on Thursday, May 27th, in the 9am (EST) hour on NBC's 'The Today Show.' Kenny Ortega will direct a big screen adaptation of the Tony Award winning musical In the Heights, according to Variety. The film will be the director's follow-up to Michael Jackson's This is It.
