BROADWAY BACKWARDS 6, the one-night-only event held Monday at the Longacre Theatre, raised a record-breaking $281,243 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (the Center) and Broadway Beat was, of course there as always to chronicle the night! Here are some of their fabulous highlights.

COME FLY AWAY will conclude its Broadway run on Sunday, September 5 at the Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway at 46th Street) after 26 previews and 187 regular performances. Conceived, choreographed, and directed by Tony Award-winner Twyla Tharp and featuring vocals by Frank Sinatra, COME FLY AWAY will launch a national tour in May, 2011 in Chicago. More details on this extensive, multi-city national tour will be announced at a later date.

The critically acclaimed new Broadway musical COME FLY AWAY was be featured on the FOX television program 'So You Think You Can Dance' yesterday, June 17th. Tony Award nominees Karine Plantadit and Keith Roberts (nominated for Movin' Out) performed the show stopping number 'That's Life' during the program's first live results show of the season, which aired nationally at 9pm (8pm central).

Meredith B. from New Jersey is the lucky winner of BWW's 'Lend Me A Tenor' Contest. Meredith submitted an operatic rendition of Cindy Lauper's hit 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' and in turn, won two tickets to the opening night of 'Lend Me a Tenor' on April 4 along with other fabulous prizes. On Thursday August 28th Barnes and Noble at Lincoln Triangle hosted Tony and Olivier Award-winning Patti LuPone, four-time Tony Award-winner Boyd Gaines and Tony Award-winner Laura Benanti for a Q&A and a CD signing with additional members of the Gypsy cast. The event was a celebration of the August 26th release of the Gypsy cast recording from Time Life. BWW TV brings you there for all the 'swell' and 'great' fun!
