Harold Pinter's NO MAN'S LAND and Samuel Beckett's WAITING FOR GODOT starring Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Billy Crudup andShuler Hensley, directed by Sean Mathias, begin rehearsals today, Tuesday, September 10. The limited engagement repertory season will begin previews on Broadway at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street) on Saturday, October 26 in advance of the official opening on Sunday, November 24, 2013. The first trailer has been released for the upcoming CG animated musical feature film currently in production, DOROTHY OF OZ. For over twenty-five years, the late Bradshaw Smith (Founder & Executive Producer of "Broadway Beat" and Applause Video) was the theater world's preeminent videographer, capturing over 1,000 performances on Broadway, off-Broadway, in cabaret halls and beyond that now, because of him, live on today. Bradshaw Smith died on January 16, 2012, at age 57, following a sudden and severe stroke. To conclude the intimate memorial, Bradshaw's longtime friend and editor, Jonathan Frank, compiled the best of Bradshaw's work as a video artist. Simon Callow has brought his highly acclaimed show BEING SHAKESPEARE to the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre at the Broadway Playhouse for a limited engagement through April 29, 2012. Broadway veteran Megan Hilty, who will soon star in the highly anticipated NBC series SMASH, was in attendance at Comic Con International last weekend in San Diego as part of the cast of the upcoming animated film 'Dorothy of OZ.' Titled 'Further Over the Rainbow: Dorothy of OZ', the panel featured the first ever screening of footage of the film, a Q&A, and a song from the film.
