As previously reported, the cast of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT will be performing the show stopper 'It's Raining Men' at the Tony Awards ceremony on Sunday, June 12. The performance will be broadcast as part of the ceremony on CBS. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the rehearsal run with special guest performers Paul Shaffer (who wrote the tune) and Martha Wash (the song's original songstress). The recipient of a 2011 Drama Desk nomination for Unique Theatrical Experience, the show also features Geri Berman, Charlotte Pines, Drea Lorraine and Don Meehan. As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, the New York Philharmonic, EMK Productions and Screenvision present Stephen Sondheim's 'Company' in movie theatres across the nation. The production was shot in early April as part of the Philharmonic's spring gala. Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) lead an all-star cast which included Patti LuPone, Stephen Colbert (The Colbert Report), Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Craig Bierko and Martha Plimpton.
