As previously reported, the cast of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT will be performing the show stopper 'It's Raining Men' at the Tony Awards ceremony on Sunday, June 12. The performance will be broadcast as part of the ceremony on CBS. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the rehearsal run with special guest performers Paul Shaffer (who wrote the tune) and Martha Wash (the song's original songstress). Play Dead, the Off-Broadway comic thriller co-written and directed by Teller (of Penn & Teller) and co-written & performed by Todd Robbins is now playing an open-ended run at The Player's Theater. The recipient of a 2011 Drama Desk nomination for Unique Theatrical Experience, the show also features Geri Berman, Charlotte Pines, Drea Lorraine and Don Meehan. The Muppets are set to make another big screen splash this year, more than 30 years after their big screen debut. Featuring the talents of a slew of stars - Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Rashida Jones, Neil Patrick Harris, Katy Perry, Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal, Liza Minnelli, Katy Griffin, and John Kraskinski, to name a few - the film is slated for a November 23 release.
