Today in 2008, A Tale of Two Cities opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where it ran for 60 performances. A Tale of Two Cities is a musical with book, music and lyrics by Jill Santoriello based on the novel of the same name by Charles Dickens.The Broadway production featured James Barbour, Natalie Toro, Aaron Lazar, Gregg Edelman, and Brandi Burkhardt.

Recently the NYMF production of DEPLOYED the musical gave fans a sneak peek into their rehearsal process. With a soaring pop rock score and set against the epic backdrop of a military base in Baghdad, DEPLOYED follows Emily's emotional journey. Our heroine develops an unlikely friendship with her interpreter, Laila, as she trains Iraqi women. Laila teaches Emily to appreciate others' suffering and to realize the enemy she's fighting is herself. When Emily finally lets go of her inner demons, a secret from the past comes back to wreak its revenge. They cannot forget...but can they forgive?

The concert series will launch on January 20, 2014 with BROADWAYWORLD VISITS OZ, directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and with music direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell. Natalie Toro starred as Eponine in the Original Broadway of Les Miserables. Her other stage credits include A Christmas Carol, Jesus Christ Superstar and the title role in the acclaimed 1999 20 Anniversary National Tour of Evita. In A Tale of Two Cities she stars as Madame Therese Defarge. In the third of a series of BWW TV interviews with the cast of the new Broadway bound musical, she shares her personal insight into the character of Defarge, finding new inspiration during rehearsals and how the story continues to be emotional for her as it readies for the first preview performance.

Natalie Toro and Sutton Foster applied their award-winning vocal skills to the classic duet, 'Get Happy/ Happy Days Are Here Again,' originally performed by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand on October 6th, 1963 when that version aired on CBS-TV. The BroadwayWorld.com cameras were invited in as the two talented performers worked on the duet in the studios at the Manhattan Center.
