Yesterday, July 14, Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore hosted the 14th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. At last night's 2012 Tonys, NEWSIES took home two awards- Best Score and Best Choreography. The whole NEWSIES team gave fans an inside look throughout the night, chronicling their experience from their big performance, to Alan Menken's win. Check out videos from the cast below!

Alan Menken and Jack Feldman are this year's recipients of the Tony Award for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) Written for Theatre for NEWSIES. NEWSIES is now in previews at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre. Newsies, the new American musical, which is currently in performances at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 W 41st St) was featured on ABC's 'Good Morning America' this morning, April 16. For the second installment in their series 'Cam's Cam-eo,' the 'Good Morning America' cameras were there as correspondent Cameron Mathison made a series of cameos in a recent performance of Newsies, after spending the day with the company learning how to be a newsie.
