The Stephen Sondheim Theatre will soon be home to the upcoming Broadway revival of Horton Foote's beloved classic, The Trip to Bountiful, starring Cicely Tyson, Cuba Gooding Jr., Vanessa Williams, Condola Rashad and Tom Wopat. Directed by Michael Wilson, The Trip to Bountiful will play a 14-week limited engagement, beginning previews on Saturday, March 30th at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 W 43rd St). Lincoln Center Theater will present The Nance, a new play by Douglas Carter Beane to be directed by Jack O'Brien. The production will begin previews on Thursday, March 21 and open on Monday, April 15 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45 Street). It will star Nathan Lane, Jenni Barber, Andrea Burns, Cady Huffman, Jonny Orsini and Lewis J. Stadlen. Roundabout Theatre Company's new production of Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning play Talley's Folly, directed by Michael Wilson, features Danny Burstein as 'Matt Friedman' and Sarah Paulson as 'Sally Talley.' Performances began February 9th, 2013 and it opened last night, March 5, 2013 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). Kinky Boots, directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, opens Thursday, April 4, 2013. Tony Award winning playwright Richard Greenberg's new play, Breakfast at Tiffany's will soon open at the Cort Theatre (138 W 48th Street). Directed by Sean Mathias, Breakfast at Tiffany's begins preview performances on Monday, March 4, 2013 and officially opens on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. This stage adaption of Truman Capote's classic novella will star Emilia Clarke (HBO's 'Game of Thrones') in the iconic role of 'Holly Golightly,' Cory Michael Smith as 'Fred,' and George Wendt as 'Joe Bell.' The production will be directed and choreographed by Mitzi Hamilton, one of the dancers in Bennett's original taped workshop that inspired the 1975 Musical. BROADWAY BARES XXII: HAPPY ENDINGS, a fairytale evening of modern-day burlesque featuring 227 of New York's sexiest dancers, made history for the third year in a row on June 17, by raising a record-breaking $1,254,176 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. One of the evening's performances was the story of "The Ugly Duckling" called 'Ugly Duckling (It Gets Better)' set to Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way', which took on bullying as Brandon Rubendall helped Adar Wellington embrace both her inner and outer beauty in a moving piece choreographed by Nick Kenkel.
