New York City Center has just reopened following a historic renovation and modernization with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and star-studded gala last night, October 25 at New York City Center. Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg conducted The Encores! Orchestra in the opening number (as a nod to Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia, who conducted the New York Philharmonic when City Center opened as a performing arts center in 1943).

The trailer for Sarah Jessica Parker's next film, 'I Don't Know How She Does It,' has been released. The comedy, based on the book 'I Don't Know How She Does It: The Life of Kate Reddy, Working Mother,' tells the story of Kate Reddy (played by Parker), a finance exec who's the breadwinner for her husband and two kids. The trailer features Parker as well as Greg Kinnear who plays her husband. Other actors in the film include Pierce Brosnan, Olivia Munn, Kelsey Grammer, Seth Meyers, Jessica Szohr and Christina Hendricks.

In the film, Minnelli will perform at the wedding of Stanford Blatch, the gay character and ladies' confidante played by Willie Garson. Minnelli sings Beyonce's 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)'.
New clips for the upcoming 'Sex and the City 2' have been released today, in anticipation of the film's May 27th opening.
