Yesterday, March 22nd, the cast and creative team of Broadway's IF/THEN, including Idina Menzel, James Snyder, LaChanze, Anthony Rapp, Jenn Colella, Tom Kitt, Brian Yorkey took their final bows at the Richard Rodgers Theater.
Idina Menzel was among the honorees at the 2014 Billboard Women in Music Awards, handed out yesterday, Dec. 12 in New York City. The IF/THEN star was honored with the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award, a brand new honor added to the ceremony now in its ninth year - in addition, Menzel honored by members of A BroaderWay Choir, who sang a 'Defying Gravity/Let it Go,' mashup. 54 Below just welcomed SHANKTUNES- an evening of original songs by Drama Desk-nominated orchestrator/arranger Lynne Shankel. Lynne was joined onstage by some of New York's finest talent for a fun-filled evening of her blend of pop, R&B, swing and musical theatre. ShankTunes featured songs from the recent Off-Broadway production of bare, as well as premieres of brand new songs. The evening was directed by Stafford Arima.
