The celebrated musical RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S Cinderella, originally written for television in 1957 by the legendary musical theatre duo Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, opened last night, March 3, at the Broadway Theatre. The new production of RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S Cinderella will begin performances in January at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway at 53rd St). RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S Cinderella has music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, a new book by Douglas Carter Beane and original book by Oscar Hammerstein II. The musical is directed by Mark Brokaw. Josh Rhodes is choreographer. The cast and creative team met the press today, and BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there to chat with the whole gang about the production. Keenan-Bolger, who performed with the show from its 2009 debut at La Jolla Playhouse and earned a 2012 Tony nomination for her performance, departed the show on December 30. See the curtain call below!

The producers of Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time Tony® Award-winning play by Rick Elice, will celebrate the 10th annual International Talk Like a Pirate Day on Wednesday, September 19th, with a special "Stache Day" in honor of their own pirate, Black Stache. On the morning of September 19th, the first 100 fans in line at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street) with mustaches (real or fake!) will receive one free ticket for that evening's performance.
