In honor of the show's 20th anniversary, The Lion King cast members Adrienne Walker, who's been playing Nala on Broadway since July of 2016, and Agust n Arg ello, currently starring as Simba in Mexico City's production, released a performance of 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' in Spanish and English. The first Broadway revival of David Henry Hwang's Tony Award-winning play, M. Butterfly, directed by Tony Award winner Julie Taymor, stars Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award winner Clive Owen. M. J.T. Rogers has won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Play for Oslo.

Lincoln Center Theater's smash hit production of J.T. Rogers' new play Oslo, directed by Bartlett Sher, re-opens this week at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street), after a sold-out run last summer off-Broadway at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. Richard Ridge was on hand at opening night to speak with the stars of the show about the play, their move to the Vivian Beaumont Theatre, and what it's like to work with Barlett Sher. On this day in 2000, The Lion King,reached its 1,000th performance at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Based on the animated film of the same name,  the show opened on Broadway November 13, 1997 and won the 1998 Tony Award for Best Musical.

 Today, Comcast and theatrical producer Janet B. Rosen announce "In Transit: The Making of the First Broadway A Cappella Musical," a new entertainment special now airing exclusively on Xfinity On Demand.

Journey to the past with some newly released footage from this summer's premiere Hartford Stage run of the new Broadway musical, Anastasia. 

Two new videos preview her upcoming album, which will feature new solo music by Hall-Tompkins and the current FIDDLER ON THE ROOF revival's arranger Oran Eldor and music director/orchestrator Ted Sperling.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a musical about traditions, but Silber's way of handing her role over may be completely new.

The Old Globe presents the West Coast premiere of Paul Gordon's delightfully romantic new musical SENSE AND SENSIBILITY, developed with Rick Boynton and presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it was commissioned and had its world premiere in April 2015. CST Artistic Director Barbara Gaines returns to the show as director of the Globe production. SENSE AND SENSIBILITY will play now through August 14, 2016 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.
