BroadwayWorld has just confirmed that an NYC reading is underway for The Unsinkable Molly Brown, produced by Roundabout. Beth Malone, who played the title role in both the summer 2017 Muny production and 2014 Denver production, leads the reading in the title role.

With lyrics and music by Meredith Willson, additional lyrics and book by Dick Scanlan, based on the original book by Richard Morris, THE UNSINKABLE Molly Brown will run at The Muny from July 21 to 27, 2017.

Broadway artist Beth Malone announced that she will star in the title role of The Muny's 2017 production of The Unsinkable Molly Brown. The production will run from July 21-27, and will be directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall. The Unsinkable Molly Brown has music and lyrics by Meredith Willson, with additional lyrics and book by Dick Scanlan, based on the original book by Richard Morris. Music adaptation is by Michael Rafter.

The best of Broadway will be performing FREE on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park 2016' - a lunchtime series that continued this week, July 28 on the Bryant Park Stage. Hosted by LITE FM's on-air personalities, the 16th annual presentation of open-air, On- and Off- Broadway lunch hour performances will run through Thursday.

Broadway's top musical artists are set to appear on tonight's (June 21st) telecast of 'Maya & Marty' on NBC to perform 'What the World Needs Now Is Love,' an updated version of the classic Burt Bacharach/Hal David song that is helping to support the devastated LGBT community of Orlando, Fla. A slew of stage vets rehearsed the song earlier today, and Seth Rudetsky captured a sneak preview.

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, took placen Friday June 3rd in Shubert Alley. Hosted by Tony nominee Sean Hayes and Mo Rocca, Broadway's best once again turned out for the annual performance - including FUN HOME's Beth Malone, Emily Skeggs and Gabriella Pizzolo, who performed 'Flying Away.'

Earlier this week, the Broadway company of FUN HOME was joined by the plaintiffs who paved the way for marriage equality in the historic Proposition 8 case. The group went backstage to meet and chat with the cast following the show's final curtain - check out what they had to say below!

The sold-out audience at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre was dazzled Monday, March 21, 2016, by this year's stirring edition of BROADWAY BACKWARDS. The annual celebration, where men sing songs originally written for women and vice versa offering this audience the chance to see LGBT stories told through the great songs of musical theatre, set a new fundraising record.
