Even Fox Sports has Hamilton fever! In the latest spoof of Lin-Manuel Miranda's juggernaut, comedian Rob Riggle stars as Jimmy Garoppolo, in Garoppolo: A Second String Musical. Starting today, Garoppolo, a second-round pick for the New England Patriots, is filling in for superstar quarterback Tom Brady while Brady finishes his four-game suspension due to the infamous 'deflategate.' Basically, Garoppolo's the Javier Muñoz of the NFL.

In her latest interview with 60 Minutes, Streisand discusses how Jackman's voice was the starting point for the album's core concept: creating 'mini scenes' through dialogue and duets with film stars. On the album, Streisand and Jackman sing the previously unproduced 'Any Moment Now' by the late, celebrated composer Marvin Hamlisch. This rendition of the song tells the story of a couple that has reached the breaking point in their marriage, and the video features clips from Streisand and Jackman's recording session for the track.

For most artists, they have a teacher, or professor, or mentor who they can trace back to the reason that they fell in love with the theatre in the first place. On May 16, 2016, a group of over 300 University of Michigan Alumni-led by Celia Keenan-Bolger and Gavin Creel-gathered together for a one-night-only, sold-out performance to honor the beloved long-time Musical Theatre Department Chair, Brent Wagner.

As the world continues to face dark times, members of the theatre community are choosing to respond to tragedy with art that spreads hope for the future. According to Matthew Curiano, when the cast of the Ogunquit Playhouse's production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame began rehearsing for the show, they 'found truly just how poignant, powerful, and undeniably relevant the story [they] were telling was.' As a result, several of the cast members joined together to film a video using the words of the song 'Someday,' sung by the characters Esmerelda and Phoebus in the second act of Hunchback, as a prayer for the future, and to honor the victims of the Orlando massacre at Pulse Nightclub, the police shooting in Dallas, and to Alton Sterling and Philander Castile, who were both killed by police.
