Earlier this week, Tuck Everlasting's Andrew Keenan-Bolger hosted The Shubert Foundation and Music Theatre International's 11th Annual Broadway Junior Student Finale, showcasing students from Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Manhattan performing song and dance numbers from their school versions of Broadway musicals. The partnership is a groundbreaking musical theatre mentorship program that builds self-sustaining theatre programs in public schools that have limited arts programming. On August 24, 2014, NEWISES closed on Broadway. Exactly one year later, cast members from the hit Broadway musical came together on the stage of 54 Below to reminisce. In the lineup were songs of various music styles, stories and memories of their time with the show. Below, watch as Andrew Keenan-Bolger, the original Crutchie, performs 'Letter from the Refuge'- a song that wasn't added to the show until the launch of the national tour.
