On the heels of this week’s announcement by Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker that all of the state’s businesses can reopen at 100% capacity as of May 29, Mark Cortale, Producing Artistic Director of Provincetown’s Art House theater, has announced a fittingly momentous lineup of music and comedy superstars for the summer 2021 season.
Audiences can reserve their free tickets to Two River Theater's Tiny Shakes: Romeo and Juliet, co- directed by Aneesha Kudtarkar and Em Weinstein. This newly reimagined theatrical collage created from Two River's popular education program, A Little Shakespeare, will be released May 17 and available until June 30/2021 through Two River's website.
The new programming venture will showcase nine conceptual adaptations of multi-character works, in which all roles will be played by a single actor, and in two cases by two actors, using in-person, virtual or hybrid platforms. Works will premiere gradually over the next two seasons, alongside TIFT’s regular scope of programming.

On Tuesday, May 21 at 4 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra's BRAVO! Listen Up! Exhibition featuring middle school student artwork and writing created in response to composer Missy Mazzoli's Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres) opens at the Arts Council of Princeton (ACP). Many of the students will be on hand at the opening to discuss their displayed works and celebrate their artistry with family and friends. The exhibit will be on display through Sunday, June 2.

Peninsula Players Theatre presents a reading of Kristine Thatcher's 'Apparitions.' Thatcher was commissioned by the Peninsula Players in the mid-1990s to write a play using Door County's history and unique character as its major influence. 'Apparitions' will be performed February 4 at 7 p.m. at Bjorklunden, located at 7590 Boynton Lane, Baileys Harbor. 'Apparitions' is produced with support from and in coordination with Door County Reads and its exploration of its book selections 'The Death and Life of the Great Lakes' by Dan Egan and 'Wintering' by Peter Geye. Admission is free.

Mitchell Cushman is coming out of directing a secret production of Sweeney Todd in an abandoned building as part of the bigger international immersive project The Curious Voyage. He's also directing Haley McGee's autobiographical play The Ex-Boyfriend Yard Sale, which is running at Camden People's Theatre from the end of November. Talk Is Free Theatre (TIFT) announces the ultimate, international theatrical adventure with The Curious Voyage, running Oct. 23 to Nov. 10, 2018 in Barrie, Canada and London, England. Taking place over three days to groups of no more than 36 participants, the immersive adventure will provide a unique, personal experience for every audience member, surprising them with curious artistic encounters as they inhabit new worlds in Barrie, Canada and London, England. The experience culminates in a site-specific mystery musical (a well-known Tony Award-winning work), whose dramatic themes will have been woven throughout the previous three-days. Tickets for The Curious Voyage are extremely limited and only available from May 8 to June 27, 2018.
