Close to 50,000 Victorians flocked to Arts Centre Melbourne over the weekend to explore and enjoy the reopening of Hamer Hall after a two-year $135.8 million redevelopment.

Musical theatre superstar Caroline O'Connor will join k.d lang in a star-studded concert as Melbourne celebrates the re-opening of Hamer Hall.

Madeleine Peyroux takes the stage at Three Stages next month. Opening the concert is Rebecca Pidgeon. The evening takes place Aug 23, 2012.

After a successful first half of the year in Arts Centre Melbourne's State Theatre, the Morning Melodies concert series returns to its home in the newly refurbished Hamer Hall. Morning Melodies will be welcomed back into the new Hamer Hall by the musical brilliance of Orchestra Victoria, Victorian Opera and Kane Alexander and many more. Eddie Perfect, who will sing open the new Hamer Hall with k.d. lang on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 July as part of the new Hamer Hall Opening Concerts, will also host the final Morning Melodies concerts, Christmas Melodies.

Four time Grammy award and eight time Canadian Juno award-winning singer-songwriter k.d. lang and her new band, the Siss Boom Bang, will make a stop along her Sing it Loud tour in Modesto on June 29, 2012 to play at the Gallo Center for the Arts.

Lang launched her career 25 years ago with a blend of country-rock and a playfully punk-like attitude. Engelbert Humperdinck, a favorite contemporary, pop singer of the 60's, 70's and beyond, will be at The Bergen Performance Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey. The singer will perform on November 5th at 8 pm.
