Whoopi Goldberg, Patrick Wilson Among Tribeca Film Fest Judges, 4/20-5/1

The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by American Express, the Founding Sponsor of the Festival, today announced its jurors - a diverse and talented group of 38 individuals, including award-winning filmmakers and screenwriters, celebrated actors, respected journalists and media pioneers. They will be divided among the six competitive Festival categories and will announce the winning films, filmmakers and actors in those categories at the TFF Awards Night ceremony on April 28 hosted by Gideon Yago, which will be streamed live on TribecaFilm.com. The 2011 Festival runs from April 20 - May 1.

IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY Set for 2/8/11 DVD Release

Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover) plays opposite young stars Keir Gilchrist (United States of Tara) and Emma Roberts (Valentine's Day) in the Focus Features film It's Kind of a Funny Story, a smart and upbeat comedy about life, love, and the pressures of growing up. Craig (Gilchrist) is a stressed-out teenager who checks himself into a mental health clinic for a little time out. What he finds instead is an unlikely mentor in Bobby (Galifianakis), a potential new romance with Noelle (Roberts), and the opportunity to begin anew. Also starring Academy Award nominee Viola Davis (Doubt), Lauren Graham(Parenthood), Jim Gaffigan (Away We Go), and Zoe Kravitz (No Reservations), It's Kind of a Funny Story has been hailed as 'a perfect coming-of-age comedy' (Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times). The film debuts on Blu-rayTM, DVD, Digital Download and On-Demand February 8, 2011 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

Showtime Picks Up CALIFORNICATION for 5th Season

Hot off the record-breaking ratings for the fourth-season premiere last week, SHOWTIME is picking up a fifth season of CALIFORNICATION, it was announced today by Showtime Networks President of Entertainment David Nevins. 12 new episodes of the hit comedy series will go into production this spring.

Showtime Holds Free Preview Weekend, 1/7

SHOWTIME(R) will be available in a record 61 million households for a Free Preview Weekend from Friday, January 7 through Monday, January 10. Viewers across the country will have the opportunity to sample the premium network's award-winning programming on SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME HD(TM) and SHOWTIME On Demand(R). The Free Preview weekend will include the anticipated series premieres of two new SHOWTIME original series SHAMELESS and EPISODES, the fourth season premiere of CALIFORNICATION, the Showtime Sports mixed martial arts series STRIKEFORCE Challengers live from Nashville, and the premium television premiere of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON.

Arrival Records/Scion Music Group to Release New Soundtrack for Californication

Arrival Records/Scion Music Group will release the new soundtrack for the hit SHOWTIME® comedy series Californication. SEASON 4: MUSIC FROM THE SHOWTIME SERIES 'CALIFORNICATION' will include tracks that play a part in bringing to life many of the storylines of the new season (premiering Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 9p PT/ET on SHOWTIME).

Antonique Smith Joins the Cast of ABDUCTION

Last Night, March 7, stars from all over the world came out for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards Ceremony at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood California. 'The Hurt Locker' won Best Picture and the film's director Kathryn Bigelow took home the award for Best Director. Jeff Bridges took home the Oscar for Best Actor for his work in 'Crazy Heart', Sandra Bullock won Best Actress for 'The Blind Side', Christoph Waltz took home Best Supporting Actor for 'Inglourious Basterds' and Mo'Niqe garnered the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Precious'.
