Harold Bloom, America's leading literary critic and author of the best-seller 'Shakespeare: The Invention of the Human," will join Classic Stage Company Artistic Director Brian Kulick in a rare public appearance on Monday evening, February 7 at 7 pm at CSC (136 East 13th Street) as a special one-night-only event to benefit CSC's ongoing Shakespeare programming.

Classic Stage Company (CSC) under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Jessica R. Jenen, has extended the run of its highly-anticipated production of Anton Chekhov's THREE SISTERS through Sunday, March 6 due to strong ticket demand. The production, which begins previews this coming Wednesday, January 12, features Maggie Gyllenhaal (Masha), Josh Hamilton (Andre), Jessica Hecht (Olga), Marin Ireland (Natasha), Juliet Rylance (Irina) and Peter Sarsgaard (Vershinin). Also featured in the cast are Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Tuesenbach), Anson Mount (Solyony), Roberta Maxwell (Anfisa), Louis Zorich (Chebutykin), George Morfogen (Ferapont), Paul Lazar (Kulygin), Gabe Bettio (Rode) and James Patrick Nelson (Fedotik). No further extension will be possible.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater continues its 16th season with the world premiere of The Hallway Trilogy, three full length plays set fifty years apart (1953, 2003, 2053) by Adam Rapp.

Anson Mount will assume the role of Solyony in the forthcoming production of Anton Chekhov's THREE SISTERS at Classic Stage Company, replacing Glenn Fitzgerald, who is withdrawing from the production due to a television project. Mount joins a cast that includes Gabe Bettio, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Josh Hamilton, Jessica Hecht, Marin Ireland, Paul Lazar, Roberta Maxwell, George Morfogen, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, James Patrick Nelson, Juliet Rylance, Peter Sarsgaard and Louis Zorich. Rehearsals begin tomorrow, Tuesday, December 14.

As BroadwayWorld reported last month, the Manhattan Theater Club was in talks to bring the Kennedy Center production of MASTER CLASS, which ran this Spring, starring Tyne Daly to Broadway in the Summer of 2011. The play is aiming for the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in June. An Equity casting notice released today a new production of MASTER CLASS with Tyne Daly is one of the projects under consideration for MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre for the Spring of 2011.

Ireland will play Natasha and Rylance Irina, joining 2010 Academy Award nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal (Masha), Josh Hamilton (Andrey), 2010 Tony Award nominee Jessica Hecht (Olga) and acclaimed film and stage actor Peter Sarsgaard (Vershinin). Also featured in the cast are Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Tuezenbach), Glenn Fitzgerald (Solyony), Roberta Maxwell (Anfisa), Louis Zorich (Chebutykin), George Morfogen (Ferapont), Paul Lazar (Kulygin), Gabe Bettio (Rohde) and James Patrick Nelson (Fedotik).

Cole Escola, acclaimed for his inspired musical performances in Joe's Pub's recurring smash Our Hit Parade and Casserole Live, the live performance component of his hit television series, Jeffery & Cole Casserole, makes his eagerly anticipated solo debut. The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute has always been a location known for multiple celebrity sightings and many certainly turned out last Saturday, Nov 6th, for the opening night of 'BARRYMORE' starring Jack Betts as the famous thespian.
