FROG KISS, the award-winning critical and audience favorite of the 2010 New York Musical Theatre Festival, begins its world premier performances on January 15th at the historic Wells Theatre, home of Virginia Stage Company, Norfolk,. This saucy and swinging musical with book and lyrics by Charles Leipart and music by Eric Schorr, is adapted from the novella The Frog Prince, A Fairytale for Consenting Adults by Stephen Mitchell. Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy have just announced additional Broadway casting for the world premiere of MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL, based on the life of iconic Motown founder Berry Gordy.

Virginia Stage Company announced today the cast and creative team has been set for the upcoming World Premiere of Frog Kiss, with book and lyrics by Charles Leipart and music by Eric Schorr, to run January 15-February 3, 2013 at the Wells Theatre in downtown Norfolk, Virginia.

Well, our time rehearsing in NYC has come to a close, and we are all preparing to journey up to Cambridge, MA where we will move into the theater at the A.R.T. We finished up this week with our first full run through of the show. This was exciting because it was the first time we really got to see the complete picture of what we have been working on so hard for all these weeks.

LEAP OF FAITH might have taken its final bow back in May, but sources in the cast tell us that an album is in the works. The cast will gather tomorrow, June 13 to record the original cast album. A release date has not yet been announced.

Alan Menken has taken to his twitter just now to announce that LEAP OF FAITH will be recording a Broadway cast album sometime soon. No details regarding a label, recording or anticipated release date have been confirmed at present.

Producers of LEAP OF FAITH announced today that the show will close at Broadway's St. James Theatre this Sunday May 13 after the matinee performance. In a statement, they said "Although we love our show and very much appreciate both our many award nominations and the joy of our audiences, we have not been able to achieve a sustainable level of ticket sales to continue. We thank all those who worked so hard over so many years to bring LEAP OF FAITH to Broadway."
