The international hit show Menopause The Musical has identified Cleveland as a 'hot' national market and will play PlayhouseSquare's Hanna Theatre for 24 performances from January 14 through February 2, 2014. The 25th anniversary celebration of GYPSY OF THE YEAR, the culmination of six weeks of extraordinary fundraising by 56 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and national touring companies, raised an amazing $4,343,234 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The grand total was announced Tuesday, December 10, at this year's GYPSY OF THE YEAR, which included an array of original dances, songs, and skits performed by more than 250 'gypsies,' the most talented singers and dancers in the ensembles of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. The 25th anniversary edition of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' Gypsy of the Year Competition will be presented Monday, December 9 (4:30 PM) and Tuesday, December 10 (2 PM) at the Minskoff Theatre (1515 Broadway). The show will feature performances by New York's best actors, singers, dancers, and musicians with several guest appearances, including Tyne Daly, Cherry Jones, Ian McKellen, Mark Rylance, and Patrick Stewart.

Continuing their peerless social media promotional campaign, the team behind THE GLASS MENAGERIE have introduced yet another smart and attention-grabbing conceit byway of short scenes released via Instagram titled InstaScenes.

The Bark & The Tree is Vivian Nesbitt's one-woman play about connection and transformation. Directed by Lee Kitts, the play is set in Ireland, where Nesbitt travels to research her great-great grandmother, the poet Eva O'Doherty, known as 'Eva of the Nation.'

This weekend, WABC-7 airs a half-hour special covering highlights of the 2013 fall season on Broadway, including A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, NO MAN'S LAND/WAITING FOR GODOT, PIPPIN, THE SNOW GEESE, TWELFTH NIGHT/RICHARD III, and more.
